The Laikipia Nature Conservancy has been protecting wildlife and the natural environment it needs to thrive since the 1970's, Kuki Gallmann, author of 'I dreamed of Africa' has created a haven now being considered for recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage site. With elephants suffering a renewed onslaught from technology assisted poaching there has never been a more important time to support and protect those brave people that have maintained refuges for them.
Anyone wishing to be involved, perhaps through corporate partnership, or becoming carbon neutral through the purchase of credits, please contact us. The Mukutan REDD+ is clearly visible on Google maps, and it is for the protection of the trees and fauna that the project will receive credits, rewarding it for the protection of Kenya's biodiversity and hence the retention of carbon it its 90,000 acre 'sink'; through the avoidance of deforestation and the associated degradation of the landscape.
Arguably the most important REDD+ project from a conservancy perspective - we are very excited to be promoting these credits.
